Tommy Dreamer Recalls Abyss’ Spiked Board In TNA, Talks Jon Moxley Spot From AEW Dynamite

Tommy Dreamer is no stranger to seeing spiked weapons being used, and he compared Jox Moxley’s nail bat spot on AEW Dynamite to Abyss’ famed weapon Janice in TNA. Dreamer weighed in on the AEW Dynamite spot on Busted Open Radio and you can see some highlights below (per Wrestling Inc):
On the history of the spiked bat: “First, I saw it with Abyss in TNA, and it was 100% real. It was a board with sharpened nails at the base of it. … Whenever you swung that bad boy, it’s very, very top heavy. A lot of times, you’d have to swing it pretty hard, but it’d stick into the turnbuckle.”
On the Cope/Moxley spot: “I’d be a hypocrite if I said anything negative about any of that stuff. This spot was brutal. The last time I saw something as brutal was Sabu [at ECW] Born To Be Wired.”
