Tommy Dreamer Was Happy To See Wes Lee Return, Says Nic Nemeth Could Go Back To WWE

Tommy Dreamer was pleased to see Wes Lee make his return to NXT following his extended period away from the ring. Lee made his in-ring return on this week’s show, picking up a win over Josh Briggs in his first match since going on the shelf due to a serious back injury. Dreamer spoke about Lee’s return on Busted Open Radio, as well as the potential for Nic Nemeth to return to WWE if he wanted. You can see highlights below (courtesy of Wrestling Inc):

On Lee’s return to the ring: “They recapped his entire career, to the point of then returning, and then walking through that backstage with all the wrestlers and then walking out to the arena, [I] thought it was really, really cool, To be able to come back in the time that he did, it’s just an awesome feel-good story. But it’s also a good story to see because he had to give up everything and work so hard to get back to where he wanted to be, to the point where you don’t know what’s going to happen … so it’s pretty cool to see that and I’m happy he’s feeling good.”

On Nemeth potentially returning to WWE at some point: “Nic could probably go to WWE again because he’s proven he’s a draw in other places. Whether it’s going to be TNA, New Japan, he’s doing really, really good for himself. He could probably go back there; don’t know if he wants to.”
