Tony Khan Defends AEW’s Booking of Adam Cole
– AEW President Tony Khan took to Twitter to comment on the booking of wrestler Adam Cole. Khan took to Twitter to comment on Cole’s booking in response to a tweet by Fightful’s Will Washington in a discussion about WWE fans arguing that Cole has been downgraded in AEW. Tony Khan wrote on Cole:
“It’s false equivalence, Will. They try to move the line with ridiculous points aiming to dispute the credibility of something credible. Adam Cole is over af, he’s pushed & has many more young fans watching him than he did on Tuesdays. Would we argue if they said water wasn’t wet?”
Cole signed with AEW after becoming a free agent from WWE NXT in early September, making his debut at AEW All Out that month. Cole is currently undefeated in singles action in AEW.
