Update on Actual Gate Figures for WrestleMania 40, Night 2 Grossed Over $18.4 million in Ticket Sales

– According to a report by Wrestlenomics (via Fightful) has an update on the actual gate figures for WrestleMania 40 and other surrounding events for WWE in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The figures were obtained by Wrestlenomics through a public records request to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission.
According to the report, WrestleMania 40: Night 1 generated $17,656,965 in ticket sales. Meanwhile, Night 2 generated $18,433,325 in ticket sales, which marked a new record for the all-time pro wrestling gate for a single-day event.
The two-day total comes to a sum of $36,090,290. The reported figured do not include ticket fees. Here’s a full list of the WrestleMania Weekend ticket sales for WWE, including the other TV events in Philadelphia:
* Friday Night Smackdown (April 5): $2,022,405
* NXT Stand & Deliver (April 6): $1,109,245
* Wrestlemania 40 Night 1 (April 6): $17,656,965

* Monday Night Raw (April 8): $2,243,015
SmackDown, NXT Stand & Deliver, and Raw were held at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center. Meanwhile, WrestleMania XL was held at Lincoln Financial Field. Night 1 featured the in-ring return of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who teamed with Roman Reigns against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the main event. Night 2 featured Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns in a rematch from WrestleMania 39.
With fees, WrestleMania 40 sold a reported $38.5 million in ticket sales.
