Various News: Minoru Suzuki Wins KOPW Trophy At WrestleKingdom, Latest Ethan Page Vlog, Malcolm Bivens Says Goodbye To NXT Cruiserweight Title
– At night two of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 16, Minoru Suzuki outlasted Chase Owens, Toru Yano and CIMA to win the KOPW trophy. He pinned Yano with the Gotch-style piledriver to get the win. He is the first provisional champion for 2022, and if he can retain the trophy all year, he will be the official King of Pro Wrestling. This is the first time that someone other than Yano has captured the provisional trophy at the start of the year, although Chase Owens did hold the trophy for a few months last year. Yano was the King of Pro Wrestling for 2020 and 2021. You can find our full WrestleKingdom report here.
