Vince McMahon Sees Wealth Increase by 9.8% During COVID-19 Pandemic
– The Middletown Press published an article this week on Connecticut billionaires who have seen their wealth increase during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Based on the report’s findings, the net worth for WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has increased by $177 million during the last three months of the pandemic, marking an increase of 9.8 percent.
Vince McMahon is currently said to be worth $1.98 billion. The WWE is based out of Stamford, Connecticut. As of March 2020, McMahon’s reported net worth was $1.8 billion.
As previously noted, McMahon’s jointly owned revival of the XFL earlier this year folded and declared bankruptcy. The inaugural season for the rebooted league was cut short as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, WWE released a number of wrestlers, staff and producers last April, and various workers were furloughed or received pay cuts as the number of shows and events were reduced.
