Will Ospreay on Politics Keeping Andrade El Idolo From Working in NJPW, Wants to Hash Things Out With AAA & CMLL
– During a recent interview with Wrestle Inn, NJPW wrestler Will Ospreay discussed the inter-company politics that are preventing workers in AEW who also have deals or associations with AAA being unable to work at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door or at NJPW events due to NJPW’s working agreement with CMLL. AEW star Andrade El Idolo has commented on this issue and AAA preventing him from working with NJPW previously. Below are some highlights of Will Ospreay addressing the topic (via WrestlingInc.com):
Will Ospreay on the Andrade El Idolo being unable to work in NJPW due to company politics: “I didn’t know that was even a thing, and once again, I’d love to. I’d love to bang with him. It’d be a phenomenal match. I’ve watched all his stuff, even from when he was in NXT.”
Ospreay on wanting to hash things out with the heads of AAA and CMLL: “If I can just talk with the boss from AAA and CMLL –we just all get in the room together, alright? We’ll have a couple tequilas, we’ll enjoy ourselves, you know what I mean? We can sort all this sh*t out, just have a sit-down. Let’s just talk; there doesn’t need to be any of this politics anymore. There’s no reason why there should be politics in pro wrestling anymore. I can’t be bothered with it.”
