– According to a rumor reported by PWMania.com, the original plan for the match ending to the Raw women’s title match at WrestleMania 35 may have been scrapped. Per the report, the original ending idea for the match was to have Becky Lynch win the title. Then after the match, Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte Flair would share an emotional embrace in the ring.

The emotional embrace would then be followed by Stephanie McMahon, along with the entire women’s division, coming out and giving the three title competitors a round of applause in order to close out the show on a nice, feel-good note.

The report indicates this ending might have been jettisoned. The rumor states that the WWE creative team is no longer as keen to end the event on this type of emotional feel-good moment. It could’ve been caused by Ronda Rousey’s heel turn, which wasn’t initially part of the plan for the match heading into last month. However, the report states that it’s unknown if the idea for the ending has been “completely scrapped,” though it now seems unlikely.

The report adds that the Raw women’s title match will be the actual main event for the show. WWE has not yet confirmed what the final match will be.

WrestleMania 35 is set for April 7 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The event will be broadcast live on the WWE Network.
