WWE Wrestlemania 36

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE recently conducted a marketing study concerning the locations for future Wrestlemanias, asking people who have traveled to Wrestlemania in the past what cities they were most interested in going to as well as how much money they likely spent in merchandise, transportation and tickets. The cities listed included London, Chicago, Jacksonville, Las Vegas, Santa Clara, Houston, Dallas, Philadelphia, Toronto, Miami, Orlando and Tampa. Cities like New Orleans, Minneapolis and Los Angeles were not on the list. LA is expected to get Wrestlemania in the next few years because of a new stadium getting built, and it’s already been made public that they want the 2021 Wrestlemania. It’s possible they weren’t on the list because the location was decided, but this hasn’t been confirmed.

The Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park, which could host in 2021 or 2022, holds 70,240 people. The city wants it in 2021 to test out issues before the 2022 Super Bowl, while WWE wants it in 2022 to announce an attendance number that beats whatever the Super Bowl gets.
