ORIGINAL According to PWinsider.com, WWE will move forward with the first-ever 205 Live brand live events starting in January 2018. The first standalone events will take place January 18th through the 20th, with the company targeting smaller venues, similar to what they would run for NXT. The current 205 Live touring plan appears to be running 2-3 events over a weekend once a month, but beyond the January and potential February dates, nothing is set in stone.
Back in February, Vince McMahon noted there were plans to create revenue sources for 205 Live, including live events, licensing and merchandising. Considering only select 205 live talents work live events, this could be a big chance for some of the undercard performers.
205 Live was born out of the highly-praised cruiserweight classic, and celebrated its one year anniversary last week.
