– A fan has started a petition online to get Bret Hart a statue at Madame Tussauds’ Hollywood Wax Museum. The Change.org petition is here and has 159 signatures so far.

The petition notes:

“When wrestling fans think of wrestling, one name comes to mind: Hulk Hogan, in which I respect. When I think of wrestling, I think of one name myself: Bret “Hit Man” Hart. I believe Bret Hart is the perfect person to represent wrestling at Madame Tussauds Hollywood Wax Museum by creating a Wax Figure of him if possible. He’s a retired professional wrestler that is known as the Excellence of Execution. He was one of the safest wrestlers to ever step foot inside a wrestling ring. He protected himself, his opponents and his craft while in a match. He was a 7 time world champion. Today, he’s still known as the Best there is, the Best there was and the Best there ever will be. Outside of the ring he’s a Canadian Icon, born and raised in Calgary Alberta Canada. He was once voted the best Albertan in the world, as well as being Calgarys favorite son and a Canadian Jr Hockey League named their team after him, The Calgary Hit Men. He wasn’t only a fighting champion in the ring but outside of the ring as well. In 1999, he suffered a career ending concussion by a kick to his head that unfortunately ended his career. He’s a Stroke and Prostate Cancer Survivor and has contributed alot of his time to the stroke recovery foundation, prostate cancer research as well as make-a-wish foundation to name a few. Overall he’s very loved and very respected by his community and wrestling fans all around the world. It would only be fitting if he would be selected to be immortalized as a Wax Figure and represent the wrestling industry at Madame Tussauds Hollywood Wax Museum.”
