WWE News: Jerry Lawler Provides New Details on His Stroke, Mustafa Ali Hypes 205 Live Gauntlet Match
– Jerry Lawler discussed his recent stroke on a recent episode of his Dinner With the King podcast. Lawler gave new details on what happened and downplayed the notion that having sex had anything to do with it.
“It didn’t happen actually basically while having sex,” Lawler said (per WZ). “The stroke happened because I hadn’t been taking my blood pressure medicine for about a month. It was going to happen anytime my blood pressure went to a certain level. For most people when they do something they really enjoy or something strenuous their blood pressure goes up. That’s what happened. It was about the blood pressure medicine and not taking it. That’s what the doctors all said. I was not taking the blood pressure medicine. It went too high and it caused a hemorrhage in my brain. My blood pressure was 240 something over 140 something. It was something crazy. Everybody made a big deal about the sex; but, it wasn’t about that.”
– Mustafa Ali posted the following video to Twitter hyping next week’s gauntlet match on 205 Live. The winner of the match will face Cedric Alexander at the Greatest Royal Rumble event:
