WWE News: Quarterly Dividend Announced, GoFundMe Launched For Jose Luis Rivera’s Medical Issues
– WWE has announced its quarterly dividend for stockholders. The company announced on Thursday that the dividend is of $0.12 per share for all Class A and B shares of common stock.
The record date for the dividend will be March 15th, with the payment date set for March 25th.
– A GoFundMe has been launched to help former WWE talent Jose Luis Rivera, who worked for the company in the 1970s and 1980s, handle several knee issues he’s been dealing with. The issues will require him to be in a wheelchair if not fixed soon. You can donate to the campaign here. Thus far $30 has been funded out of a goal of $11,000.
Rivera’s daughter Johanna said on the campaign page:
”
Jose Luis Rivera is a former WWF wrestler for over 20 years, in time he’s been having knee problems in which he had to get constant x/rays and examinations done. Recently the doctors told him that due to the years of wrestling and constant standing at his current job it affected his ability to stand and walk, the bone mass density in both of his knees has decreased leaving him with the only option of getting platelets and rods put in both of them so he would be able to stand & walk around productively again if he is unable to get the surgery he would have to be put into a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Each knee is $5500.
Due to the holidays that just past and the problems with Puerto Rico’s economy this hospital bill cannot be afforded & his insurance does not cover the cost of the prosthetic. We kindly ask if everyone can please donate something to help him with this hospital bill & for him to be able to walk productively again any bit counts no amount is too small ! Thank you & many blessings to all.”
