WWE NXT Live Results 2.24.18: Johnny Gargano Faces Andrade “Cien” Almas in Tag Action

– WWE held an NXT house show in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada on Saturday night. Johnny Gargano teamed with Candice LeRae in the main event. The results were, per PWInsider:

* Ricochet beat Buddy Murphy. Huge Ricochet pop. Great opener.
* Killian Dain beat Marcel Barthel. No reaction for Barthel until he ragged on the Canadian Olympic Hockey team (even though they won silver and bronze?). Dain got huge pops and great “Dain is going to kill you” chants.
* Fabian Aichner vs. Roderick Strong. Strong picked up the win. Solid bout.
* Sanity’s Eric Young & Alexander Wolfe beat Authors of Pain. EY took a bad elbow and acted as if he lost at least a tooth when he got knocked off the apron. Lots of EY and “We Want Eric” chants.
* Ember Moon beat Nikki Cross & Aliyah. Aliyah did a great job getting heat in her home province.
* Alistair Black beat Velveteen Dream. Great match with a few Montreal screwjob teases. Match got a “This is awesome” chant.
* Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae beat WWE NXT champion Andrade “Cien” Almas & Zelina Vega. Great match, both teams really played to the crowd. Johnny and Candice got huge pops. Lots of Johnny wrestling and Candice gonna kill you chants. Double tap out for the win.

Great show overall, as expected from NXT.
