WWE Reportedly Eases Policy On Using Certain Restricted Words

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE has relaxed its policy regarding using certain words on-air now that there is a new regime in control. According to the report, ‘wrestler’ and ‘wrestling’ are no longer considered ‘dirty words’. Previously talent couldn’t use those words on-air without prior authorization. The change is considered to be positive by those backstage.
In fact, it’s said to be a more positive and fresh vibe overall among talent, with some still taking a ‘wait-and-see’ approach. The atmosphere backstage is said to be relaxed and calm, and women feel there will be more focus on them. Although, as noted, some are worried about their spots due to Vince McMahon not being in charge anymore. Triple H is said to be someone who comes across as though he cares about talent.
