– WWE is in talks with Hulk Hogan for what is being reported as a potential return to the company. PWInsider reports that discussions between Hogan and the company began several weeks ago. At this point, there is no hint on what Hogan’s role in the company could be, whether on-camera (such as an authority figure) or off (such as a Legends/brand ambassador-style deal).

WWE responded to PWInsider’s story with a statement which reads, “We have had discussions with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan) about how he can help others learn from his mistakes, however, he is not under any contract with WWE.”

The mistakes being referred to, of course, are the racial slurs that got him fired from the company in 2015. WWE cut ties completely with Hogan after a portion of his sex tape with Heather Clem leaked online that included Hogan going on an N-word heavy rant about his daughter Brooke dating an African-American. Hogan was already in the midst of a lawsuit against Gawker Media over their publication of a separate part of the sex tape, which he eventually won to the tune of a $115 million judgment.

Since the win over Gawker in March of 2016, Hogan has talked publicly about his desire to return to WWE. The company has previously always denied any stories about him making a return, including in January when they said in regard to Hogan’s latest stated desire to return, “At this time, WWE remains committed to its decision.”
