411’s Live WWE Raw Coverage 07.14.03 Kane Interview

We come back to a promo for next week’s main event, Jericho vs. Michaels.

JR assures Kane that he is not here to make fun of him. JR just wants to understand Kane. We go back to a video package of Kane’s recent history. The same package we already saw once tonight. JR asks Kane for his reaction to that footage. Hatred, Kane says. JR asks why. Kane references the fire, and says that Austin and RVD want Kane to be himself, to expose the monster. Kane wonders why his friends would want everyone to see his face. JR says that Kane does not appear to be scarred or deformed. Kane gets defensive. This is getting interesting. JR appears to be looking at a script. Kane says the doctors and shrinks all made fun of him, so he hurt them. Kane calls himself a monster. JR says that he sees a man that needs help. JR says he knows what it’s like to be mad fun of. JR’s advice is to “screw it” and just live your life. JR says Stone Cold, RVD, and the fans respect and support Kane. The crowd cheers for this. Kane said JR made his decision for him. Kane says the people are liars, as well as JR, Austin, and RVD are. Kane says he tried to warn JR not to make fun of him. Austin’s music hits back in the arena. Austin says no one is laughing at him, they are trying to help him. Kane is still very defensive. Kane says that JR needs to feel Kane’s pain. Kane punches JR and goes for the gas can. Austin pleads with Kane, who douses JR with gasoline. Kane lights a pack of matches on JR’s back, as the entire room is on fire, as JR calls for help. The fire is extinguished as everyone calls for help. Eric Bischoff comes out and damns Steve Austin. Bischoff says it is all Austin’s fault. Bischoff says he got a call from Linda, and next week she is going to fire Austin. Bischoff calls Austin a rotten bastard, and the show goes off the air.
