WWE News: WWE To Announce Wrestlemania AXXESS Location This Afternoon, Production Begins On John Cena’s New Film, Paige At WWE TV This Week

– PWInsider reports that WWE will announce the venue of Wrestlemania AXXESS this afternoon, which will be held in Brooklyn, New York. It will not be at the Barclays Center due to the inadequate space with all the other WWE events at that venue during the week.

There are rumors that the 60,000 square-foot Brooklyn Expo Center but that has yet to be confirmed. There is nothing scheduled for that venue on April 7. WWE sent an email to fans who purchased Wrestlemania travel packages and said that AXXESS would feature “the chance to get autographs and take photos with your favorite WWE Superstars & Legends and get the ultimate fan experience including live matches, Superstar Q&As, memorabilia displays, exclusive WrestleMania merchandise and more.” AXXESS sessions will be helped on Thursday 4/4, Friday 4/6, multiple sessions on Saturday 4/7, Sunday morning 4/8 and for the first time, a post-Wrestlemania session on Monday 4/9.

– John Cena’s new movie Playing with Fire began filming today in Vancouver, British Columbia. He will play the lead role, a smokejumper (a firefighter who parachutes into remote areas). The film also stars Judy Greer, Brianna Hildebrand, Keegan-Michael Key and John Leguizamo. The film ends production on April 1, which would let Cena appear for WWE at Wrestlemania on April 7.

– PWInsider also reports that Paige is scheduled to be at this week’s RAW and Smackdown tapings. She will likely be there to promote the theatrical release of Fighting With My Family. It’s the first time she’s been at TV since WWE removed her as Smackdown General Manager. She was originally set for the Royal Rumble pre-show but plans changed once the Sundance premiere was confirmed. The film will debut this weekend in New York and Los Angeles and then it will open nationwide in the US on February 14.
