WWE MAIN EVENT 10.28.14

We are greeted by Damien Mizdow and The Miz. Lillian actually said Mizdow’s name first, and JBL will be joining the announce team this week because he’s going on vacation.

The crowd already starts chanting Mizdow. Miz welcomes us as Mizdow brings the usual. Miz knows what these boos are for. This travesty caused these boos as Miz was robbed. He lets us take a look at the Usos victory last night. Miz wonders why the referee did not see the switch! Miz says an illegal man was in the ring according to the WWE rulebook section 2.? Miz says he could get him fired, but he won’t. The fact remains that the Usos did not beat Mizdow and Miz. Miz repeats himself. Miz welcomes the biggest thieves in the WWE. The Usos make their way to the ring.

Miz says if his hand goes up, your mouth goes shut. Mizdow does the same. Miz asks why the Usos cheated. A Usos chant erupts throughout the arena. Miz asks if he can have quiet on the set, the crowd is being rude. The Usos ask what? Why they beat you and you on Monday night. They proclaim themselves the better team. Miz asks why they stole the victory that belonged to him. The Usos mock Miz saying no and that leads to loud no chants. The Usos says they stole nothing from him and are mimicking each other. Miz says not to insult his stunt double with your poor acting. Now the Usos are mimicking Miz and Mizdow. Miz says they were embarrassed by freaks last Sunday. Miz demands a sequel right now on Main Event. Miz says it will be a different ending and a better closing scene. He demands a referee that is different from last night. Miz is getting heated by the Usos.

We go to a commercial break.

Damien Mizdow and The Miz vs. The Usos
Miz starts things off with a headlock. Jimmy is shoulderblocked down, and recovers quickly leading to a hiptoss reversal. Jimmy with a dropkick to a seated Miz for 1. The Usos make a tag and Jey has a headlock of his own. Jey leapfrogs a Miz charge, but is hit by a dropkick. The crowd cheers Damien Mizdow who wants in. Damien Mizdow is tagged in. Miz immediately tags himself back in and gets hiptossed for his troubles. The Usos corner Miz. Another tag and they double-team Miz until he fights back out. Miz grounds Jimmy and stomps him into the ground. The crowd really wants Mizdow, but Miz keeps denying them. Miz keeps Jimmy down in a chinlock. Jimmy hits a belly-to-back suplex. He escapes a Miz grab and gets the tag. Jey hits him with clotheslines. Mizdow imitates Miz who is thrown to the outside. Miz throws Mizdow in the way and he is hit with the flying Uso. Miz quickly recovers and big boots Jey.

We go to another commercial break at this point. We return with Miz pounding Jey down. Jey tries to regain the advantage with chops, but Miz quickly halts his momentum. Miz goes up top and Mizdow mocks him. Miz comes down on Jey with the Double Axe Handle. Miz gets another chinlock to ground Jey. There are a few we the people chants for some reason. That quickly shifts to an Usos chant. Jey continues to stay grounded until hitting a roll-up. 1..2..kickout. Miz gets annoyed with this and hits a neckbreaker. 1..2..kickout. Mizdow finally gets the tag and comes in stomping on Jey who is in a figure four from Miz. Mizdow quickly grounds him with a chinlock. Jey starts to fight back with an enzuigiri. Both men make a tag and Jimmy hits flying forearms aplenty. Jimmy hits the samoan drop and umaga hip attack.that Miz counters. Jimmy sees the counter and hits a whisper in the wind. 1..2..kickout. Jimmy jumps over Miz and catches him in a pin. Mizdow breaks it up. The Usos try the twin switch, but the referee catches them. The referee is then distracted by Miz, and the Usos do the switch anyway. Jey hits the small package. 1..2..3.

MATCH THOUGHTS: This match was a decent enough start to the show. Damien Mizdow was gold as always. The action was decent and it progresses the story-line.

Sheamus will go up against Bo Dallas tonight.

Paige comes out and is in action next.

They recap Paige attacking Alicia Fox last night.

Paige vs. Natalya with Tyson Kidd
I hope this one gets time, but we’ll see. Tyson joins the commentary team and asks JBL if he’ll get down on the facts movement. Paige and Natalya trade headscissors and Paige gains the advantage. Natalya reverses into her own headscissors and they fight to their feet. Natalya hits a headlock takedown and keeps Paige locked in. Natalya hits a shoulderblock and they exchange go behinds leading to a roll-up. Paige attacks Natalya with a forearm and starts stomping her into a corner. Paige claps for Natalya before lifting her. The crowd gets into it and Nattie catches Paige in a double underhook suplex and a baseball slide. Tyson claims that he trained Nattie. Paige hits a nice Yakuza kick. Nattie is hurt, but Tyson doesn’t seem to care. He’s too busy putting himself over. Paige gets the seductive mount and some headbutts. Paige taunts the crowd before kicking Nattie in the back of the head. Paige hits the apron knee attack. JBL keeps ragging on Tyson annoying him further. Paige gets a nice abdominal stretch and taunts Nattie. Nattie reverses into one of her own and stretches the leg too. Paige hits a snapmare and licks Natalya’s cheek. Paige gets a bodyscissors that Nattie fights out of. Nattie starts elbowing Paige, but Paige pulls her down in a guillotine choke. Nattie powers out, yet Paige counters by landing right on her for a 2. Nattie hits a spinning lariat and a beautiful half nelson suplex. Tyson takes credit for all of Nattie’s best maneuvers. Nattie goes for a Sharpshooter, and Paige quickly counters with the Paige-Turner. 1..2..kickout. Tyson and JBL rag on Cole. Paige takes her time going for the Scorpion Crosslock. Nattie goes for the sharpshooter that Tyson taught her. Paige breaks out with a roll-up by the tights. 1..2..3.

MATCH THOUGHTS: This match was fantastic. Tyson Kidd played an awesome jerk on commentary too. Honestly, these two have far better chemistry than Paige and AJ. I only wish this match got more time.

Sheamus and Bo Dallas are next.

Bo Dallas enters the arena first and has a mic. Bo Dallas says they announced a Survivor Series tag match and if he could split himself in two he’d be on both Team Cena and The Authority, but since cloning hasn’t been achieved yet…he’ll team with whoever bolieves.

Non-Title Match: ”The Inspirational” Bo Dallas vs. Sheamus(US Champion)
Sheamus and Bo circle to start things off. Bo ducks a forearm. Sheamus and Bo circle again and Bo corners him before releasing. They continue to circle and Bo gets the arm ringer and an armlock takedown. Bo taunts Sheamus. Bo ducks underneath Sheamus and gets the headlock. Sheamus escapes Bo’s headlock with a shoulderblock. Bo Dallas gets another headlock and hits another shoulderblock. Bo recovers quickly and hits a beautiful dropkick. Bo does a victory lap outside the ring. Bo tricked Sheamus and avoided the handshake. Sheamus is annoyed by that and they trade headlock takedown. Bo escapes a Sheamus headscissors and celebrates like he won the match. Sheamus does not go for the fake handshake this time slapping Bo’s hand away. Bo asks if Sheamus is laughing and tries to kick him. Sheamus clotheslines him out before hitting ten beats. Bo catches Sheamus’ leg and pulls him onto the apron. Bo grounds Sheamus in a headlock. Sheamus tries to escape, so Bo just pushes him to the ground. Bo slaps Sheamus in the face multiple times leading to Sheamus clubbing blows. Bo goes for running BoDog and slaps Sheamus again. Sheamus hits a Brogue Kick. 1..2..3.

MATCH THOUGHTS: This was a good little main event for the show. Bo Dallas got some offense and the match was competitive. Bo seems to be improving in the ring with every match. My only issue with this is the losing streak. The losing streak gimmick never works, so not sure why they constantly try it. Regardless, the match was fun.

FINAL THOUGHTS: The promos were kept to a minimum, and there were some decent matches tonight. Paige and Natalya was especially entertaining and worth seeing even for a little 7 minute match. The opening tag was decent work and about what you would expect. Damien Mizdow and Tyson Kidd showed a lot of character in their out of the ring work (Tyson with commentary, and Mizdow with mimicking). The last match was fun to watch and another good effort from Bo Dallas on Main Event. This match had less recaps than it usually does, so this is a good edition of Main Event.
