Kevin Ferguson Jr.’s Bellator Debut Delayed After Ray Bing Misses Weight
Kevin Ferguson Jr.’s Bellator debut has been delayed again. Bellator announced on Thursday that his scheduled debut against Ray Bing at Bellator 162 is off after Bing missed weight by nearly seventeen pounds. The two were supposed to face off in a 165-pound catchweight fight, but Bing came in at 181.9 pounds.
Afterword, Ferguson told MMAjunkie, “It’s frustrating as all hell that my debut has been delayed again, man. This dude coming in (17) pounds over is insanely unprofessional and all it means is that I’m going to take this anger out on whoever I get to ‘Slice’ up next.”
Ferguson, who is being paid his show money, added, “I’m not tripping – I came in on point, got paid and Bellator has a ton of shows before the end of the year, so I’m ready to go. Hopefully I can get on one of them. Even if it’s Bellator 163 (on Nov. 4), I’m ready to go.”
