– As previously reported, TNA Wrestling is looking to land a new media rights deal. Also, company president Carlos Silva said early last month that the new media rights deal for TNA could be 60 to 90 days away from happening. This week’s edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has an update on the new TNA television deal.
According to the report, both A&E and The CW are being rumored for TNA’s new television home, and WWE would likely be involved in both cases. It’s unknown what night TNA’s flagship program, Impact, will air on its new network home, but Dave Meltzer speculated that for WWE, the best night for Impact to run in a new timeslot would be Wednesday to run opposite AEW Dynamite.
TNA Impact currently airs on AXS TV at 8:00 pm EST. AXS TV is also primarily owned by TNA parent company Anthem Sports & Entertainment.
