Jose Aldo Once Again Retires From MMA At UFC Rio

Fightful reports that Jose Aldo has retired from MMA once again, leaving his gloves inside the Octagon tonight at UFC Rio. The evnet took place in Aldo’s home country of Brazil. He made a surprise appearance and left the gloves in the cage.

Aldo previously retired in 2022 after a loss to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 278. He fought three more times after that, with his last official fight back in May at UFC 315. His professional career record is 32 wins and 10 losses. He is a UFC Hall of Famer, part of the Class of 2023, and the longest-reigning UFC Featherweight Champion. He defended that title seven times.
