Seth Rollins appears to have been injured at WWE Crown Jewel, and a new report has details on the matter. As previously reported, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins was seen with his arm in a sling after his match with Cody Rhodes on Saturday’s PLE in Australia. Fightful Select reports that it is believed inside the company that he took the injury on the coast-to-coast dive headbutt.
Fightful Select makes clear that much of the information around Rollins and his potential injury are speculative, and that the specific details around it are being kept quiet.
One source in WWE who was speaking on their own behalf and not for the company said that an actual arm break would probably be better than a left shoulder injury as Rollins might be able to come back in December if that was the case. They noted that it would not be likely to to avoid making a “drastic change” on a shoulder injury. Rollins is believed to be undergoing more testing this week to determine the severity of the injury.
The report adds that the Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed turn on Rollins in an on-screen angle on WWE Monday Night RAW in Perth (along with Paul Heyman) was not explicitly said to be a creative decision change, but was strongly hinted as such. One source in WWE said they’d heard word that a split was not originally planned until next year. Fans will need to stay tuned over the coming days for what’s next for Rollins.
CM Punk is now the top contender for the title after winning the main event of RAW against Jey Uso and LA Knight.
