Samantha Irvin Confirms She Has One Year Left on Her Non-Compete Period for WWE

One year ago today, WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin announced her exit from the promotion. As noted, she resigned from her role in WWE, and she was not released, so she appears subject to a lengthy non-compete period with WWE, which she confirmed earlier today via social media.

Samantha Irvin confirmed that she’s subject to a two-year non-compete period with WWE after submitting her resignation, of which she still has one year left.

Samantha Irvin wrote earlier today, “One year down, one year left on my non-compete! Can’t wait 😛 I hope you enjoy my songs in the meantime and look back on all the memories as fondly as I do!” She continued, “Love & miss you all and remember- I NEVER left FOR music, I am music. Hope to see you soon…..”

PWInsider reports that her non-compete clause prevents her from making appearances in wrestling, boxing, or MMA shows outside of WWE. It was reported last year that Samantha Irvin requested her resignation from WWE.

Irvin is married to AEW wrestler and former WWE Superstar Ricochet. The two were wed earlier this year. Irvin has reportedly attended and been backstage at multiple AEW shows to support Ricochet, but she can’t appear on camera due to her non-compete clause.
