Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita Ends in Time-Limit Draw at AEW Grand Slam: Australia

Jon Moxley managed to leave Grand Slam Australia with the AEW Continental Championship still wrapped around his waist, as his match against Konosuke Takeshita ended in a time-limit draw.
As expected, it proved to be a physical battle, as both wrestlers didn’t offer an inch. Moxley immediately went for an Armbar, but Takeshita countered it with a headlock. Moxley escaped and immediately targeted Takeshita’s arm, only for The Alpha to counter it with a wrist lock of his own.
However, Jon Moxley escaped and then hit his opponent with a chop, leading to a chop battle between the two. It ended when the Death Riders leader kicked Takeshita in the gut before attempting a Piledriver, which the latter escaped.
The brawl eventually spiraled outside the ring, where Moxley sent Takeshita crashing into the barricades. Moxley went for a Piledriver in the ring, but didn’t go for the cover. As Takeshita tried to fight back, Moxley put his thumb in the former’s eye and then Dropkicked him to the floor. Takeshita eventually fought back with a Flying Lariat and a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. He then delivered a Last Ride Power Bomb, but even that wasn’t enough for him to put the champion away.
Moxley also tried everything that he could to earn a victory but couldn’t. He Curb Stomped The Alpha on the apron and waited for the referee to count his opponent out. However, Takeshita managed to beat the count. With five minutes remaining, Moxley locked in the Bulldog Choke. However, Takeshita eventually made it to the ropes.
He then hit an Exploder Suplex and a running knee for another near fall. The two exchanged several Sleeper Hold attempts before Moxley nailed his opponent with a Death Rider. But again, he couldn’t earn a three count.
The final moments of the match saw Moxley hit a Lariat for a near fall before Takeshita hit a forearm and a running knee on the back of Moxley’s head for successive near falls.
Takeshita and Moxley engaged in a brawl after the match ended in a draw. The two butted heads before Takeshita took out the champion with the Raging Fire.
