Drew McIntyre has broken his silence after losing the Undisputed WWE Championship on last night’s SmackDown. The Scottish Warrior defended the title against Cody Rhodes in the main event of last night’s SmackDown. The chaotic bout involved multiple referee bumps and interference from Jacob Fatu. The match eventually ended in Cody’s favor after The American Nightmare nailed a super Cody Cutter and then followed it up with a Cross Rhodes for a pinfall victory.
Cody’s victory has sparked major outrage in the wrestling community on social media, with WWE’s YouTube video of him reclaiming the championship receiving a record number of dislikes. Amid the social media outrage, Drew McIntyre took to his X account earlier today and posted a thumbs-down emoji, seemingly expressing his displeasure at losing the title.
McIntyre’s reign lasted just 56 days. He captured the Undisputed WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes in a Three Stages of Hell match on the January 9, 2026, episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Berlin, Germany.
The Scottish Warrior notched up just one televised title defense, against Sami Zayn at the Royal Rumble PLE in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, later that month. Check out Drew’s post below:
