A couple of outside talent were backstage at last night’s MLW Fusion taping in New York City, according to a new report. Fightful Select reports that Nikki Storm (the former Nikki Cross) and Sumie Sakai were both backstage at the MLW taping, which took place at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens.
Storm was said to be there because her husband Big Damo was working the show. She was released from WWE in April, and recently she and Damo acquired PROGRESS and DEFY Wrestling.
The report goes on to note that Andrew Everett did some producing on last night’s show, and Ricardo Rodriguez was also helping out in a backstage capacity. There were said to be no injuries at the taping, and company officials have said that morale is high and they were happy with the crowd.
MLE will continue their shows with events tonight and tomorrow at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. MLW took the talent by buss from New York to Philly last night after the show to help them rest for the remaining tapings.
