Amazon Luna has revealed a new Masters of the Universe cooperative deck builder video game for GameNight. Masters of the Universe: Legends Unite will be hitting the platform on June 5, just in time for the new live-action movie, which hits theaters on the same day. You can also check out the announcement trailer for the upcoming game release below.
Needless to say, June will be a big month for MOTU fans, young and old, as they’ll be able to play the new GameNight game at home and watch the new live-action movie in theaters in the same month.
Legends Unite will feature the world and characters of the franchise, along with the upcoming movie, while also reintroducing characters from deeper within Eternian lore. The co-op game will feature deck building and arcade mini-games, blending strategy among friends and collaborative and competitive efforts.
Players will team up to fight against Hordak, Skeletor’s former mentor, and his unstoppable horde. Also, in Adventure Mode, players will be able to work together to deliver even bigger hits, gather increasingly powerful cards, and further strengthen their characters. Every playthrough features different challenges across diverse biomes, and the gameplay also features competitive trials that pit players against each other to battle for precious bonuses. The game will also feature appearances from the Faceless One and Moaty, who players can encounter to claim special advantages.
Masters of the Universe: Legends of Unite Will Showcase Iconic Characters
Players will be able to access Legends Unite through Amazon Luna GameNight in their living room, with no console or gaming PC required. Players will be able to experience the game with up to four friends, where they can unite legendary characters, such as He-Man, Teela, Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, and Man-at-Arms, for some chaotic card play.
Masters of the Universe: Legends Unite will be available on June 5 to Prime members and Luna subscribers in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
Additionally, the recently announced side-scrolling classic arcade-style beat ’em up, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction, will be released on April 28.
