Resident Evil Requiem Returns to Raccoon City in New Reveal Trailer

Capcom revealed the next mainline installment of the Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil Requiem, aka Resident Evil 9, at the Summer Game Fest 2025. The upcoming game is due out for a multi-platform release in early 2026. You can check out the reveal trailer below.
The new trailer features FBI Agent Grace Ashcroft, Alyssa Ashcroft’s daughter. Alyssa was a former investigative journalist who managed to survive the original disaster of Raccoon City and sought to expose the Umbrella Corporation for its bioweapons development that caused the disaster.
Powered by the RE ENGINE, the new game takes the series back to the place that started it all, Raccoon City, the site of the biological disaster that shook the world. Combining deeply terriying aspects of psychological horror with pulse-pounding action, the terror returns.
Capcom plans to reveal more details for Requiem throughout the year, including the first public playable demo at Gamescom 2025. Resident Evil Requiem is due to launch on on February 27, 2026, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
