Hello everyone and welcome to 411mania’s LIVE coverage of UFC 332, I’m Robert Winfree and I’ll be your host. Well there’s no getting around it, this card is pretty darn lackluster on paper. The main event is for the vacant women’s flyweight title as Valentina Shevchenko suffered an injury and vacated the belt. Now legitimate number one contender Natalia Silva takes on Wang Cong, Wang is really only here because she hasn’t already lost to Shevchenko in MMA whereas everyone ranked above her has a recent loss to either Shevchenko or Silva. It’s not the ideal main event for a numbered event, and the co-main event feels pretty dull too. Rising contender Payton Talbott takes on Deiveson Figueiredo, Figueiredo is on a tough stretch and is pretty clearly beyond his best days while the UFC is getting behind Talbott as a potential star. Beyond that there are a few bright spots, King Green vs. Esteban Ribovics will likely be fireworks, and the UFC debut of Roberto Soldic has been a long time coming. On the prelims we’ve got Damian Pinas back in action, Johnny Walker head to heavyweight, the retirement of UFC veteran Court McGee, and a more. If this were a Fight Night it’d be a pretty solid one, but as a numbered event that they’re still charging PPV for in places it just feels so irrelevant in terms of stakes and narrative heft. But the fights can always be awesome, so let’s hope for good action.
UFC 332 comes to the world from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. The USA big event trio of Jon Anik, Joe Rogan, and Daniel Cormier will be on commentary with Megan Olivi as our roving reporter and Bruce Buffer handling announcements. We’ll be in the usual 30 foot cage and Utah does have the newer rules in place.
Court McGee has been with the UFC since 2010, but he’s just 1-4 in his last five fights. McGee has announced this is his last fight and he’s looking for the story book ending as a win in his hometown would be about the best way he could hang up the gloves. Eric Nolan has gone 0-2 in the UFC and now he’s looking to spoil McGee’s retirement by getting that all important first UFC win. The odds like Nolan at -225 to McGee’s +185.
Welterweight Bout: Court McGee (22-14, 170 lbs.) vs. Eric Nolan (8-5, 170 lbs.)
ROUND ONE: Nolan is an inch taller while McGee has two and a half inches of reach advantage, McGee is also 12 years older at 41. They touch gloves then McGee gets pressing forward with his jab. SCORECARD: 10-9 Nolan as that last blow hurt McGee
ROUND TWO: McGee gets back on pressure, his offense is mostly being blocked but he seems to have recovered from the late knockdown. Some jabs from McGee, Nolan is bleeding a bit from the bridge of the nose. McGee is throwing some more leg kicks and body kicks this round. Jab from Nolan, McGee lands a counter right. Nolan blocks a single leg attempt but McGee lands a right hand. Right to the body from McGee. Nolan lands a jab. McGee lands a right hand, then ties up and both men land rights as they break. OFFICIAL RESULT: †WINNER – Eric Nolan via TKO, punches, at 3:26 of Round 3
The Final Round Finish Club thanks Mr. Nolan for his work. Mic time for Nolan, he feels good to get a win then gets pissy at the crowd for booing him before putting over McGee’s longevity and says he needs to give McGee his farewell time.
McGee does get some mic time, he plays with the crowd and talks about getting sober 20 years ago, puts over Nolan then says he grew up close to here and does the inspirational speech bit. He thanks his family, coaches, and asks for a bonus then puts over his after party before laying down the gloves.
THAT WILL DO IT!

Alexander Hernandez just had a four fight winning streak broken by Rafa Garcia and he’s hoping to avoid another losing streak. Rafael dos Anjos is a former lightweight champion but that was way back in 2016, currently he’s on a three fight losing streak and almost two years ago he suffered a knee injury in a fight. Dos Anjos is trying to break that losing streak and get a few more wins as his career continues winding down. It’s not surprising to see Hernandez as a favorite, but at -270 that might be a tad heavy and +220 as a payout for dos Anjos has to be tempting a few bettors out there.
Lightweight Bout: Rafael dos Anjos (32-17, 155.5 lbs.) vs. Alexander Hernandez (18-9, 155 lbs.)

Mic time for Hernandez, he puts over his team and mentions trying to up the pace and speed in the second round to take advantage of being the younger man. He talks us through the finish then says he wants to fight again before the year ends, wants to be on posters, and wants more money. What a waste of air time that was.

Anthony Romero took this fight on short notice, replacing Bernado Sopaj, but he is on a two fight winning streak and now has the chance to pull a serious upset in his debut. No real issues with that scoring, not sure about giving Silva the fourth or fifth though. Mic time for Silva and the translator, she plays with the crowd which has largely filed out by this point, then thanks God. She does the usual inspirational spiel, then says this fight proved how good Wang is and says this is the beginning of her era. She closes by again doing the pseudo inspirational thing.
