Anthony Hernandez Pulled From UFC Fight Island 7 Due to Positive COVID-19 Test

Anthony Hernandez vs. Rodolfo Vieira is the latest fight to be pulled from UFC Fight Island due to a positive COVID-19 test. MMA Weekly reports that the fight has been pulled and rescheduled for February’s UFC 258 after Hernandez tested positive for the virus.
Hernandez announced the news on Instagram, writing:
“Happy New Year! Good news is that #teamFluffy is safe and gear goes out next week. 100 (percent) bad news is the fight is delayed — 2020 left me with the covid. I’m good though and rescheduled for Feb. 13.”
The event previously saw Brian Kelleher’s bout with Ricky Simon canceled due to a positive test from Kelleher. The show takes place on January 16th from Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.
