Bellator Signs Featherweight James Gallagher

Bellator has signed one of Conor McGregor’s teammates to a contract. MMA Fighting reports that the promotion has inked a deal with James Gallagher, who trains with Straight Blast Gym. Gallagher is expected to make his promotional debut later this year, though no date or opponent is set yet.

Straight Blast head coach John Kavanagh said of the news, “[I’m] very proud to have another fighter on another big show. Today is a good day for SBG and Irish MMA.”

Gallagher faces Sean Tobin at BAMMA on June 4th before debuting for Bellator.
