Brock Lesnar Given Temporary Suspension For Failed Drug Tests

August 23, 2016 | Posted by Joseph Lee

MMA Fighting reports that Brock Lesnar was issued a temporary suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for multiple drug test failures. This is the first step in the adjudication process.

Lesnar tested positive for hydroxy-clomiphene, an anti-estrogen agent in both a USADA out-of-competition test (June 28) and an in-competition test at UFC 200. He was tested eight times before his July 9 fight with Mark Hunt at UFC 200, which Lesnar won by unanimous decision. He will have a formal hearing with the NSAC at a later time. He faces a two-year suspension from both the USADA and the NSAC, along with fines from the NSAC.
