UFC 202’s buyrate is still at an estimated level right now, but of those estimates hold it will have been the company’s most successful PPV to date. MMA Fighting reports that the Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz-headlined card is currently estimated to have done 1.65 million buys, which is about 50,000 above the current record-breaker in UFC 196. That was headlined by the first McGregor vs. Diaz fight.
The site notes that according to sources close to the matter, the DirecTV buyrate was the highest in UFC history while UFC’s PPV orders through the internet are also thought to have broken UFC 196’s record in that venue.
The UFC does not typically release PPV numbers. McGregor beat Diaz by majority decision in the fight.
