Cris Cyborg to Face Julie Budd For Bellator Featherweight Title In January

Cris Cyborg’s Bellator debut is official, and she’ll be fighting for a title in her first match. Bellator announced on Sunday that Cyborg will face Julia Budd on January 25th at the promotion’s show in Inglewood, California with Budd’s featherweight title on the line.

Cyborg signed with Bellator earlier in the month for the largest contract in women’s MMA history which was a multi-fight, multi-year deal. This came after she was released from the UFC following a very public dispute with the company and Dana White.

Tickets for Bellator: Budd vs. Cyborg go on sale to the general public on October 4th at 10 AM PT. A pre-sale begins on October 2nd using the code “BELLATOR”. The show will stream live on DAZN at 10 PM ET/7 PM PT.
