February 23, 2020 | Posted by Jeffrey Harris

During last night’s UFC on ESPN+ 26 main event, Dan Hooker beat Paul Felder in a close split decision. At the post-fight press conference, the UFC announced that both fighters had been hospitalized following their razor-thin five-round war. Paul Felder later shared a photo of the two at the hospital on his Instagram account, which you can see below.

As noted, Felder appeared to contemplate retirement in his post-fight interview with Dan Hardy. Both fighters showed a classy display of sportsmanship after their intense bout. Dan Hooker raised Felder’s hand and they shared a quick embrace. It appears their sportsmanship was extended during their hospital visit.

Hooker vs. Felder was awarded Fight of the Night for last night’s fight card. As a result, both men were awarded an additional $50,000. The event was held yesterday at the Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand. It was broadcast live on ESPN+.
