Khabib Nurmagomedov’s fighting days are officially done, according to Dana White. White posted to Twitter on Thursday night to confirm that the former champion is hangning it up for good.

White, who has been hopeful that Nurmagomedov would be lured back for another match until now, wrote:

“29-0 it is.

He is [100%] officially retired. It was incredible to watch you work @TeamKhabib. Thank you for EVERYTHING and enjoy whatever is next my friend.”

As alluded to by White, Nurmagomedov ends his career at 29 – 0. His UFC run was 13 – 0 and included a UFC lightweight title reign, which began with a win over Al Iaquinta at UFC 223 and lasted for defenses against Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, and Justin Gaethje. His last fight was the win over Gaethje at UFC 254 in October.
