In an interview with MMA Junkie, Devin Clark (6-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) spoke about training with Jon Jones before his UFC Fight Night 91 debut against Alex Nicholson (6-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) tonight. It happens at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. Clark’s fight will be on the UFC Fight Pass preliminary card. Here are highlights:

On fighting at home: “I’m getting used to fighting at home. RFA, I had three or four fights with them in Sioux Falls. It’s just another fight, or feels like it, even though it’s a UFC debut. South Dakota, they’ve treated me very well over the years. I love fighting here.”

On training with Jones: “He’s a really good training partner, so I took advantage of that. I was down there for a month or so, and we became pretty good (training) partners. I spent enough time, that’s for sure. It’s a real good feeling, and I know I’m getting the best work possible. He’s won nine championships over. To go with a guy like that, it really helps my game.”

On being ready: “It’s a good matchup. I can’t complain at all. He’s a 6-(foot)-4 striker, and I’ve been working with a 6-4 striker, so it’s nothing I’m not ready for.”
