Don Frye Announced For UFC’s 2016 Hall of Fame Class

– The UFC announced tonight that two-time UFC tournament champion Don “The Predator” Frye has been named to the 2016 UFC Hall of Fame class. He we be part of the Pioneer section of the hall. Frye joins UFC co-founder Bob Meyrowitz (contributors wing) and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in this year’s class. The induction takes place on July 10 with another name to be announced. UFC President Dana White had the following to say about Frye’s induction…

“Don Frye is a legend in this sport and one of the toughest guys to ever compete. He was known for putting on incredible fights like his one with Takayama in PRIDE, which is still to this day one of the craziest fights I’ve ever seen. Congratulations to Don Frye for being selected to the 2016 Class of the UFC Hall of Fame!”
