Edson Barboza Would Rather Face Tony Ferguson For the Title Than Conor McGregor

Edson Barboza spoke with reporters (via MMAjunkie ahead of his fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 219 this weekend.

On a possible title shot with a win: “If me or Khabib wins this fight, it’s probably going to be the next line for a title shot.”

On who he would rather face in a title shot: “I’d prefer to fight Ferguson – because it’s a rematch. So, no doubt, if I had to choose – also because, as I said, Ferguson is the real champion.”

On his bout with Nurmagomedov: “I think that’s one more fight. I’ve fought the best guys in the world, and I feel I’m ready. I can beat anybody they put in front of me. That’s one more fight. That’s it.”
