Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul Fight Causes Outages On Showtime PPV Service, Apps

The Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul fight has drawn enough interest that it has caused outages on both the Showtime PPV service and streaming apps. The highly-anticipated exhibition boxing match began tonight at 5 PM PT and has caused Showtime’s services to experience several issues preventing people from watching the event.

Showtime issued a statement on Twitter through its Showtime Support account which read:

“IMPORTANT NOTICE: We are aware of an issue impacting tonight’s PPV event as well as the SHOWTIME and SHOWTIME Anytime apps. Updates will be posted here, so please refresh your browser to view the latest update.”

There has not yet been an update by the account. Showtime said in a statement, “We are aware that some customers have been having trouble accessing tonight’s Pay Per View event on Showtime.com. We are working diligently to resolve the issue and will redress customers appropriately.”
