Gabriel Benitez Says He Wants to Fight Again Soon in Mexico City

UFC fighter Gabriel Benitez spoke to reporters in a post-fight media scrum (via MMAjunkie) on his submission win over Sam Sicilia at UFC Fight Night 94. Benitez shared that he wants a quick turnaround to fight on UFC’s upcoming card in Mexico City in November.

Speaking on what’s next for him, Benitez stated, “Hopefully, November in Mexico City – hopefully, soon.” Speaking on his fight with Sicilia, Benitez added, “What surprised me was the fight in my opponent. He kept coming at me.”

Benitez defeated Sam Sicilia in the main event of the FS1 prelims via technical submission due to a guillotine choke in the second round. The fight card was held last night at the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas.
