Jon Jones Apologizes to Reporter He Berated Before UFC 232
Jon Jones has apologized to the reporter that he went off on during the pre-UFC 232 press conference late last week. MMAjunkie reports that during the post-event presser, Jones apologized to Swedish MMA journalist Izabelle Kostic for asking questions about his drug test controversy, during which he said he wanted “better journalism” and told Kostic “you suck.”
Jones said at the press event, “Sister here with the camera, I was extremely disrespectful to you and I’m sincerely sorry. I was ready to fight and I felt maybe a little of an attack, and I was not in the mood to lose. I was just not in the mood to lose, not even a verbal argument. I’m so sorry for disrespecting you.”
Kostic then addressed the apology on social media, accepting it and congratulating Jones on his win:
I appreciated @jonbones apology tonight. Chose to be the bigger man. Congrats champ.
