Jon Jones Fires Back at Dominick Reyes For Saying He Was Robbed at UFC 247

Jon Jones isn’t down with the narrative that Dominick Reyes was robbed of a win by the judges in their UFC 247 bout, and he took to Twitter to fire back at Reyes over it. Jones defeated Reyes in the main event of last weekend’s event by unanimous decision, a call by the judges that had several people — inncluding Reyes — believing that the challenger had the fight won.

“Deep down in his heart he knows I won,” Reyes said on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show (per SCMP). “Being Jon Jones – the great mixed martial artist – I feel like he would want a rematch for his own mind, knowing that I won the fight.”

Well, to the surprise of few, Jones doesn’t agree with Reyes’ assessment. The light heavyweight champion took to Twitter to slam Reyes for his claims, saying, “Dominic out struck me by literally 12 shots. I scored the take downs, was the aggressor, control the octagon every round, had more significant strikes landed. Dom completely stopped fighting in the championship rounds and has the audacity to be mad at the judges … Don’t be mad at the judges, be mad at Dom’s conditioning guy. Man started to give up when the water got deep and is now going around doing interviews talking about being robbed. When will these young boys start taking responsibility? That’s what’s wrong with boys these days.”

Reyes has yet to respond to Jones’ posts, the full extended set of which you can see below:
