ESPN reports that Dana White informed the outlet that UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will defend his title against Dominick Reyes for an upcoming UFC card on February 8 in Houston, Texas. The bout is expected to headline the upcoming event.

In the co-main event for the UFC card, flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko will defend her belt against Katlyn Chookagian.

This will be Jones’ third title defense since he regained the vacant championship against Alexander Gustafasson at UFC 232 in December 2018. This will be his 15th overall UFC title contest. Reyes is undefeated in his MMA career at 12-0. He is 6-0 inside the Octagon. He last fought at UFC on ESPN 6 last October, where he defeated former middleweight champion Chris Weidman by knockout in the first round of the main event.

Jon Jones last fought in July, where he defeated Thiago Santos by split decision at UFC at UFC 239. His only career loss is a controversial disqualification loss to Matt Hamill in December 2009.

UFC: Jones vs. Reyes will be held on February 8, 2020 in Houston, Texas. The event will be held at the Toyota Center. The fight card has no number as of yet because the UFC has not yet fully unveiled its fight schedule for Q1 2020.
