Misha Cirkunov Comes to Terms on New UFC Deal

Misha Cirkunov is sticking with the UFC after all. UFC President Dana White spoke with TSN today via MMAjunkie and said that he has come to terms with Cirkunov on a new contract.

“We got a deal done,” White said. “He and his wife flew down to Las Vegas and had dinner with me. (I) liked them both – nice guy, tough guy. We had come to terms on a deal. I had thought he sort of went MIA on me. I honestly don’t know what happened. He came back around, we got the deal done and I’m happy about it. I’m glad we did, and I look forward to seeing him fight again.”

The prospects of Cirkunov sticking around was far from certain a few weeks ago, with White having said that the fighter “flake[ed] out” on an offer and saying he was no longer interested in re-signing him. No details on a return fight for Cirkunov has been revealed yet.
