Rory MacDonald Signs With Professional Fighters League
Rory MacDonald is a free agent no longer, signing on with Professional Fighters League. ESPN reports that MacDonald, a former UFC contender and Bellator welterweight champion, has signed an exclusive multi-fight deal with the promotion.
The report adds that MacDonald will be part of PFL’s 2020 season and will compete for the PFL welterweight title as well as the $1 million grand prize that goes to the top fighter in each weight class in PFL.
“I’m excited to join the PFL where every year the world championship and $1 million belt is there for the best fighter, without any games or politics,” MacDonald said. “I believe in the PFL sport-season format and fighters-first organization.”
The fighter last fought in October, losing the Bellator welterweight title to Douglas Lima in the last fight of his Bellator contract.
