UFC 251 Weigh-In Results: All Title Fights on Weight, Two Fighters Miss Their Marks

UFC held the weigh-ins earlier today for the promotion’s debut Fight Island card, which is UFC 251. The event is scheduled for tomorrow at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island. The event will feature three title fights.

All six title competitors made weight earlier today. The fight card will be headlined by welterweight champion Kamaru Usman (170 pounds) defending his title against Jorge Masvidal (170 pounds). Elsewhere, featherweight champ Alexander Volkanovski (145 pounds) will defend his title against former champion Max Holloway (145 pounds) in a rematch from UFC 245. Finally, former UFC feaherweight king Jose Aldo (135 pounds) faces Petr Yan (135 pounds) in a fight for the vacant bantamweight title.

Elswhere, Raulian Paiva missed weight for her scheduled flyweight bout against Zhalgas Zhumagulov, coming in heavy at 129 pounds. Also Vanessa Melo missed weight at 141 pounds for her bantamweight fight against Karol Rosa. Paiva has been fined 20 percent of her purse, and Melo was fined 30 percent. Both fights will move forward as scheduled.
