The UFC is delaying one of its planned shows this month by a week in UFC on ESPN+30, and hopes for the event to take place in Las Vegas. Dana White confirmed during the post-fight press conference for UFC on ESPN+ 29 that the May 23rd show that was set for Jacksonville will now take place on May 30th and, if at all possible, will take place at the UFC Apex facility in Vegas.

“It’s definitely not May 23. We’re hoping it’s May 30. If it isn’t (in Las Vegas), it’ll be May 30 somewhere else,” said White (per MMA Weekly).

Nevada is still not yet open, but Governor Steve Sisolak is said to be planning the first phase of his strategy to reopen the state. If that happens, the NSAC would still have to have a meeting and agree to reinstate combat sports in Nevada.

“I think they’re talking about casinos opening June 1, some of them,” White said. “Not hotels, just the casinos. I don’t really know, but I’m confident that we’ll go May 30, and if we don’t end up going in Vegas we’ll go somewhere else.”

He confirmed that there will “100%” be a show on May 30th one way or another. It will be the company’s fourth show since starting back up, following last weekend’s UFC 249, last night’s UFC on ESPN+ 29 and this weekend’s UFC on ESPN 9.
