Urijah Faber Confirms He’s Returning From Retirement

Urijah Faber’s retirement is at an end, as the UFC veteran has revealed he has accepted a fight. Faber told Dan Hardy (per MMA Weekly that he is set to return to the cage.

Faber told Hardy in the video, that you can see below, that “Looking at today’s landscape, I just know that I can compete easily. I’ve stayed in great shape. It sounds like fun and the reason I stopped is because I wanted to. The reason I’m coming back is because I decided I want to.”

He continued, “I just accepted a fight yesterday, I don’t know if that’s supposed to be put out yet.” He did not who the fight would be against or when it would be, saying that they wanted to wait to get the go-ahead from UFC officials. Both he and Hardy said it was a good matchup.

Faber last fought in December of 2016, beating Brad Pickett at UFC on Fox 22. He retired in June of 2017 and was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
